Quiet Geometry

Lobby: San Francisco

A Quiet Geometry reimagines an office lobby in San Francisco as an experience shaped by constraint. The existing footprint resisted orthogonality — a space subtly skewed, neither square nor symmetrical. Rather than conceal this irregularity, we amplified it. An undulating wall traces the perimeter, softening the geometry while resolving the plan. Conceived as both surface and light feature, it emits a quiet glow, transforming a spatial challenge into a moment of calm, sculptural drama.

A restrained palette of bookmatched gray marble and layered gray-and-white stone grounds the movement with precision and clarity. The mirrored veining reads like a continuous drawing, reinforcing the dialogue between order and fluidity. Anchoring the space, we designed and fabricated a custom reception desk — a monolithic yet refined form that integrates seamlessly with the stone language of the lobby. The result is a composed, immersive entry sequence where geometry, material, and light converge.
