Thinking Huts is the world’s first 3D-printed school, conceived as a modular, scalable model for education in remote regions of Madagascar. Designed as a multifunctional prototype, the structure reimagines how architecture, technology, and community can intersect. Using 3D-printing technology, the building system allows for efficient construction, adaptability, and replication — offering a practical solution to areas where access to quality education infrastructure is limited.
Beyond the classroom, the design integrates a vertical garden for growing food, solar panels for off-grid energy independence, and an exterior rock-climbing wall that encourages play and physical development. The school becomes more than a place of instruction; it is a self-sustaining ecosystem and community hub. Thinking Huts proposes a new model for learning environments — resilient, regenerative, and designed to empower future generations.
